GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Membership Director, the front desk staff performs reception duties including processing of membership and program registrations and preparation of related materials and files. Provides informational services regarding the programs and fees of the association. Greets members and guests in person and on the telephone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes, sells and processes membership enrollment and assures careful assimilation of new members into specific programs.
- Processes special program and camp registrations and guest passes, keeping files for reporting purposes.
- Operates computerized cash register and is responsible for handling monies received from membership and program registrations in their assigned cash drawer.
- Closes out cash drawer at end of work shift with cash report.
- Performs clerical functions as needed.
- Assists in performing the receptionist function, door security, member access and exit; greets members with a customer friendly attitude.
- Develops a positive work relationship with other staff.
- Assists in telephone information services relating to the association’s programs.
- Promotes character development with members and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
